Realizatorul documentarului, Marian Olaianos, ne-a spus mai multe despre acest DVD cu Dobrin: „Documentarul fãcut de mine cuprinde peste 200 şi ceva de faze din cariera lui nea Gicu. Sînt unele faze chiar foarte vechi, de pe vremea cînd exista Dinamo Piteşti. Pot fi vãzute astfel imagini de la meciuri cu echipa de club contra lui Dinamo Zagreb, Ferencvaros, dar şi de la echipa naţionalã, din partide cu Portugalia, Grecia sau importantul meci cu Cehoslovacia. În afarã de aceste faze din meciuri, sînt tot felul de interviuri cu Nicolae Dobrin, din perioada anilor ’70-’80. Cea mai nouã imagine din acest documentar este din 1990, de la meciul de retragere a lui Dobrin, cu o selecţionatã old-boys, la Piteşti. Se mai gãsesc acolo şi cadre de la Dobrin acasã, de cînd fiul sãu, Dan, era foarte mic, şi chiar imagini cu nea Gicu plecînd spre Mexic“. În cadrul documentarului mai apar, printre alţii, şi Adrian Pãunescu şi Florin Halagian, care spun mai multe lucruri foarte interesante. Conferinţa de presã de la Piteşti se vrea a fi un fel de avanpremierã a lansãrii oficiale. La evenimentul de vineri vor participa şi Gica Dobrin, oficialitãţi locale, care s-au implicat foarte mult în realizarea DVD-ului, şi, este posibil, foşti colegi ai lui Dobrin. Din cîte se pare, DVD-ul cu Dobrin se va vinde şi seara la stadion, înainte de meciul FC Argeş - Steaua, într-un numãr de aproxiamtiv 1.000 de exemplare. Lansarea oficialã a documentarului va avea loc pe 7 aprilie şi se va face cu Gazeta Sporturilor, care îl va distribui în România, aşa cum a fãcut cu DVD-ul cu Hagi, de exemplu. Important de ştiut este faptul cã acest DVD nu se va distribui sub nici o formã gratis, iar Gazeta Sporturilor intenţioneazã sã-l scoatã în minimum 100.000 de exemplare. „Gazeta şi-a manifestat intenţia de a cumpãra acest produs, ei mai scoţîndu-l şi pe cel cu Hagi. Trebuie ştiut cã astfel de produse nu prea merg în cîştig, iar Gazeta poate nu urmãreşte neapãrat cîştigul, cît imaginea creatã. În plus, în pauza meciului, pe tabela stadionului Nicolae Dobrin va fi prezentat un mic DEMO cu acest DVD, pentru a vedea toţi spectatorii ce reprezintã“, mai spunea Marian Olaianos. Documentarul a fost realizat pe baza materialelor de arhiva existente in Televiziunea Romana.
